Who’s Behind Winter Woolies?
A thriving team exists behind the scenes to provide you with the best products available. Most of our employees joined us because they LOVED our product. Most were sick and tired of always being cold in our great Canadian winter. One try and they were smitten.
The designing influence and founder of the company is no newcomer to the world of active wear clothing. Roslyn was the President of Bodyworks of Canada Inc. for 14 years and oversaw the operation of a design, manufacturing and wholesale operation servicing over 120 accounts internationally. The respected Bodyworks of Canada label appeared in many specialty departments, in stores such as The Bay, Eatons, Fairweather’s and Simpson’s across Canada. Roslyn and Bodyworks produced a new line of swimwear and resort wear which was successful in high-end swimwear stores in Canada as well as in the United States. Her children’s wear line was especially well received when Roslyn launched her own line of prints – like dancing bears and airbrushed stars printed on the finest quality white cotton Lycra®. 
Throughout the years Bodyworks focused on active wear clothing: through the workout craze of the 80’s; through the disco age; through the whole trend towards Lycra® in every conceivable blend. Roslyn was one of the pioneers of Lycra® and Lycra®-based fabrics and has considerable expertise at design, construction and marketing this type of wear. She is familiar with international tradeshows and participated actively in consumer and wholesale venues; she operated successful retail outlets in Toronto; she is familiar with importing and exporting products; she understands her market and has created the perfect products to satisfy her customers.
Roslyn created Winter Woolies and Ski Prantz Elite™ to please people! “Winter outdoor enthusiasts so desperately need to be warm and cozy. If we feel warm and softly cocooned, then we are more likely to participate in outdoor activities and enjoy them.” She first experimented with wool blends, but too many people were reactive and there were incredible washing problems and shrinkage. On finding the perfect fabric after much research and development, Winter Woolies and Ski Prantz™ were launched. Who knows what other exciting projects will follow for this imaginative entrepreneur
