Care and Feeding

WasherDryerIt’s so easy to keep your Winter Woolies looking and feeling like new. In fact, just two simple steps keep them going for years (which is better for you than it is for us… but you’re the one who’s important here).

The most important thing to remember is to TURN THEM INSIDE OUT when you wash them in lukewarm water. You probably do that already with your special fabrics, to prevent pilling and balling from the abrasive action of most washing machines.

And even though cheaper fabrics will still ‘pill’ almost immediately, Winter Woolies will look good for a long time… and will resist wear out for many seasons when you follow this simple guideline.

The dryer is about the only thing that doesn’t get along with Winter Woolies!

So after your washer’s spin-dry is finished,
SIMPLY HANG your Winter Woolies the same way you’d treat a good sweater or swimsuit.

They’ll be dry in no time with natural air power!

What makes Winter Woolies so special?

Wear them just once, and you’ll feel the difference!

The combination of our unusual knitting process… and the way our fabric works with your skin’s natural need to breathe… adds up to unparalleled comfort for the wearer.

skin_diagramAs you know, your skin has a constant need to breathe. If it’s restricted or gets overheated, your body naturally reacts by cooling it with perspiration. Other activewear products claim to “wick away moisture” when you sweat. But it’s what happens next that makes all the difference in your comfort.

Notice how Winter Woolies have a soft-fibre inner layer that hugs the surface of your skin, ready to wick away moisture as soon as it happens. From there, the inner core of our knitted fabric absorbs perspiration like a sponge, and passes it THROUGH the breathable outer layer to dissipate into the air. In other words, your Woolies dry out quickly, even while you’re wearing them… and then they go looking for more!

Finally, Winter Woolies are constructed from a special blend fabric that meets our strict specifications for technical wear. It’s the result of a long series of experiments with wool and other blends, which we found weren’t up to the demands of extreme comfort, easy care and durability that you’d expect from a premium product like Winter Woolies.
